1. What services do you offer at Shaping Destiny?
We provide individual psychotherapy, counselling, CBT-based programmes, workshops for schools and organisations, and mental-health training for professionals. Our focus spans emotional wellbeing, resilience-building, and long-term personal transformation.
7. Are my sessions confidential?
Yes. Your information is held with complete confidentiality and protected under professional and ethical guidelines. The only exceptions are rare situations involving risk of harm, which will always be discussed with you.
2. How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy may be helpful if you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or simply want to understand yourself better. A consultation call can help you decide what type of support suits your needs.
8. Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We offer secure online therapy via Zoom or Google Meet, allowing you to engage from anywhere in India or abroad.
3. What is the first session like?
Your first session is a gentle introduction. We assess your concerns, understand your goals, discuss your history, and create a personalised plan. You’re free to ask questions at any point.
9. What are your fees?
Fees vary depending on the type of service, such as individual therapy, corporate workshops, or school programmes. Please contact us for a tailored quote or check our Bookings page.
4. How many sessions will I need?
Every client is different. Most people benefit from short-term work (6–8 sessions) for common mental health issues, while others may need 12-20 sessions to address complex/trauma-related issues. Your therapist will guide you based on your goals and progress.
5. What therapeutic approaches do you use?
We use evidence-based methods including CBT, ACT, trauma-informed therapy, solution-focused techniques, and supportive counselling. All approaches are tailored to your needs.
10. How do I book an appointment?
You can book directly through our website, contact us by WhatsApp, or schedule a consultation call. A member of our team will confirm your slot and guide you through the process.
6. Do you work with teenagers or children?
Yes. We work with young people (15+) for emotional regulation, anxiety, self-esteem, academic pressures, and behavioural concerns. For younger children, we collaborate closely with parents.
11. Can I change or cancel an appointment?
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled with 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may incur a fee as the slot is specifically reserved for you.
12. Do you provide therapy for corporates or schools?
Yes. We offer evidence-based wellbeing programmes, teacher and leader training, SEL workshops, and customised interventions for schools, colleges, and organisations.
13. What’s the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
Counselling focuses on present challenges and emotional support. Psychotherapy goes deeper, helping you understand patterns, heal past experiences, and create long-term change. We offer both, based on your needs.
14. Do you prescribe medication?
No. Only psychiatrists can prescribe medication. If medication may benefit you, we will guide you to reputable psychiatric professionals and coordinate care, if needed.
15. Do you offer urgent or crisis support?
We are not a crisis service. If you’re in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services or visit the nearest hospital. Crisis helpline information is available on our site.
